Rome (and Italy in general) has also a fascinating culture and language, and still – it's not really a trip if you don't come back with a full suitcase that only Superman can close. There's so much to buy – some clothes, lots of shoes, maybe a few toys for the kids and a new phone… but don't worry, you can claim your VAT refund at the airport. Shopping in Rome, here we come!

If you’ve seen everything in Via del Corso, or it’s rainy outside and you’re looking for shelter – don’t despair! The complete guide to shopping malls in Rome will sort things out for you. From the brands found in each mall to how to get there – everything is laid out here in front of you, so let’s get started.
Porta di Roma
Address: Via Alberto Lionello 201
How to get there: From the Pantheon area – Go to Corso/Ss. Apostoli bus stop and take bus no. 80 (next to Doria Pamphili Gallery) to Bene/Lionello station.
From the Termini area – take metro B to towards Jonio. Get off at the Conca dO’ro station and from there take bus no. 338 to the Settebagni/Vigne Nuove station.
The brands: Apple, IKEA, Zara, Adidas, Nike, Sephora, Swarovski, Stradivarius, Timberland and more.
About the mall: The Porte di Roma mall may force you to be creative in your ways to get there, but take your worries away – it’s really worth the effort. This is one of the largest and most successful shopping malls in Rome, bringing together all the most desirable brands.
It opened in 2007, and is considered one of the largest malls in Europe.
Euroma 2
Address: Viale dell’Oceano Pacifico 83
How to get there: From the Termini area – take metro B towards Laurentina and get off at the EUR Magliana stop. Then take bus no. 788 from the Val Fiorita bus stop to the Ribotta/Delogu stop.
Another way from Termini – take metro B towards Laurentina and get off at the EUR palasport stop. Then go to the America/Tolstoi bus stop and take bus no. 779 to the Ribotta/Delogu stop.
From the Piazza Navona area – go to the Rinascimento bus stop and take bus no. 3 to the Cristoforo Colombo station. From there take another bus no. 70 to the Ribotta/Delogu station.
The brands: Apple, Adidas, Bershka, Foot locker, H&M, Lego, Levi’s, Massimo Dutti and more.
About the mall: Euroma 2 is one of the most pleasant centers and one of the largest ones in the city. It opened its doors in 2008, and is located in the developing EUR district. This is the place to be during sale season (the “saldi” in the months of January, February, July and August).
Parco Leonardo Centro Commerciale
Address: Viale Donato Bramante 31/65
How to get there: From the Termini area – take a train to Roma Trastevere station, and from there a train to Fiumicino Airport. Get off at the penultimate stop, Parco Leonardo.
From the Pantheon area – go to the Arenula/Cairoli station and take tram 8 from there to the Trastevere train station (Stazione Trastevere). Take a train from there towards Fiumicino Airport, and get off at the penultimate station, Parco Leonardo.
The brands: Zara, Zara Home, H&M, Aldo, Foot locker, KIKO Milano, Bershka.
About the mall: The Parco Leonardo shopping center is a classic place to stop before heading to the airport. Whether you have a rental car or are traveling by train, this is an excellent place for spending the last few hours before leaving Rome. We have to warn you – do not leave your luggage inside the car if you have a rental car with a sticker indicating that it’s a rental car.
Romaest
Address: Via Collatina
How to get there: from the Termini area – Route 1: take Metro B towards Rebibbia. Get off at the Ponte Mammolo station eight stops later, cross the road to the opposite station and from there get on bus no. 075 (towards Tonino Bello), and get off after 19 stops at the Colonnetti station. From there you have to walk for fifteen minutes in a straight direction until you see the mall in front of you.
Route 2: take the train towards Avezzano. Get off at the Ponte di Nona station, which is also the first stop of the train, and from there walk for about fifteen minutes until you see the mall in front of you.
Take a train From Tiburtina station (metro B) towards Lunghezza, get off at Ponte di Nona station (after eight stops and an hour and a half), and walk for about fifteen minutes until you see the mall in front of you.
The brands: Primark, Guess, H&M, Levi’s, Pull&Bear, Vans, Zara, Calvin Klein Jeans and more.
About the mall: There’s a Primark there. Is further persuasion needed? The mall located east of Rome will provide you with hours of tours, fittings, purchases and enjoyment. Romest was opened in 2007 and it is not the most famous and popular mall in Rome, but is definitely worth the ride with great brands and an excellent shopping experience.
Castel Romano
Address: Via del Ponte di Piscina Cupa 64
How to get there: from the Termini area – there are shuttles that go back and forth to Castel Romano throughout the days of the week. The ticket costs about 15 euros, and departs from Via Giolitti 48. The tickets can be purchased here.
The brands: Adidas, Nike, Armani, GAP, Burberry, Lacoste, Samsonite, Versace and many more.
About the mall: this is an outlet and everybody loves outlets! Castel Romano is the closest outlet to Rome, and as such it attracts many visitors every day of the week. It’s not exactly a mall but more of an avenue of shops, and we highly recommend going there.
Maximo
Address: Via Laurentina 865
How to get there: from the Termini area – take Metro B towards Laurentina. Get off at the last stop, and then take a bus – no. 72/73/74. Get off the bus after seven stops, at the Laurentina/Celine station which is in front of the mall.
From the Pantheon or Fontana di Trevi area – go towards Piazza Venezia, from there take bus no. 170 towards Termini (seven stops). There is no need to get off the bus because it changes its number to L80 –you can continue with it until the Carucci/Anagrafe Tributaria station (seven stops). Then walk for nine minutes in a straight direction until you reach the mall.
From the Vatican area – Bus no. 64 and 916 will take you to Piazza Venezia. Continue from there according to the explanation above.
The brands: Aldo, Primark, Decathlon, H&M, Mango, Swarovski, Tezenis, Adidas and others.
About the mall: Maximo Mall is located on the outskirts of the city, and is the newest addition to the list of Roman shopping centers. It was only opened in 2020 with the first Primark in Rome, thus proving that even good things happened during COVID-19.
